On Friday, August 5, four of our U14 Chargers competed in the Wisconsin Fastpitch League All-Star Skills Challenge. Representing the Chargers were Ally Haight, Lucy Loferski, Isadora McCann, and Ali Rowicki.

In the HR Derby, contestants had three chances to hit one home run from a specified distance with qualifiers moving to the second round and hitting from a longer distance. Three of the four accomplished the initial feat and made it to the top 9 out of 36 players: Ally Haight, Lucy Loferski, and Isadora McCann. Advancing to the final round and making the top four were Ally Haight (finishing fourth) and Lucy Loferski (finishing third).

In the Throwing Competition, the all-stars were required to throw a softball as close to a cone positioned about 120 feet away. Lucy Loferski finished third with a throw that landed 3' 3" from the cone with the winning throw finishing 2' 6" from the cone.

All four All-Stars competed in the All-Star game on Saturday, August 6 at Longfellow Middle School in Wauwatosa. Ali Rowicki had two hits to help "Team Purple" beat "Team Blue" featuring Ally Haight, Lucy Loferski, and Isadora McCann, by a score of 12-2. Lucy Loferski lead Team Blue with one hit in two trips to the plate.
